QAF - 26 Oct 2026

QAF Ltd (SGX: Q01) — Technical Analysis

Last traded price · 26 Oct 2026

S$0.910

−0.55% (−S$0.005)

Bearish structure

Daily chart · Nov 2025–Oct 2026

Market regime: Established downtrend, with price testing a potentially important support zone at S$0.900–0.910.

The decline remains technically intact. However, recent narrowing candle ranges and diminishing visible volume suggest selling momentum may be slowing. This is not yet evidence of a confirmed reversal.

1. Market structure

Three phases are identifiable.

Phase 1 — Accumulation and advance (Nov 2025–Feb 2026)

  • November–December: base formation around S$0.875–0.905.

  • Early January: strong bullish expansion through S$0.910–0.940 with substantial volume.

  • February: successive higher highs, reaching S$1.030.

  • The upward movement demonstrated ease of advance and strong buyer participation.

Phase 2 — Distribution and reversal (Mar–May 2026)

  • March: sharp rejection from S$1.030, with a downside spike toward S$0.940 followed by recovery.

  • April: buyers regained control temporarily, pushing price to S$1.080.

  • Late April–May: price failed to hold above S$1.040–1.060 and sold off toward S$1.000.

  • The inability to sustain the April breakout, followed by a decisive decline, marked a bearish change in market character.

Phase 3 — Decline and consolidation breakdown (Jun–Oct 2026)

  • June–September: prolonged sideways-to-downward movement, broadly S$0.965–0.990.

  • Repeated attempts to recover S$0.990 failed.

  • September: support near S$0.965 gradually weakened.

  • October: downward continuation through S$0.950 and S$0.930, reaching S$0.910.

The stock has transitioned from a bullish structure into a sequence of lower highs and lower lows.

2. Price and volume analysis

Period

Price behaviour

Interpretation

January

Wide bullish bars, high volume

Strong buying effort and upward progress

April peak

High-volume advance to S$1.080, followed by rejection

Demand failed to sustain the breakout

May

Consecutive downward bars

Supply gained control; bearish follow-through

June–August

Narrow overlapping bars, generally modest volume

Temporary balance, without convincing accumulation

September–October

Breakdown through successive supports

Sellers retained directional control

Latest sessions

Narrow candles around S$0.910, subdued volume

Decline slowing; reversal still unconfirmed

The most important recent development is that price has fallen substantially without an obvious volume climax.

This can indicate that buyers are withdrawing rather than sellers aggressively liquidating.

Low volume alone is not bullish. A downtrend can persist on low volume if insufficient demand emerges.

3. Critical support and resistance levels

Immediate support

S$0.900–0.910

Current testing area

Immediate resistance

S$0.930–0.940

Recent breakdown area

S$0.875–0.885

Major historical support; December 2025 base

S$0.900–0.910

Current support; previous trading area before January's breakout

S$0.930–0.940

First resistance; recent failed support

S$0.960–0.970

Major overhead supply from the previous consolidation

S$0.985–1.000

Higher resistance; previous trading range ceiling

4. Latest candle — 26 October 2026

Open

0.915

High

0.915

Low

0.910

Close

0.910

The latest candle has a narrow S$0.005 range, opens at its high and closes at its low.

Interpretation:

  • Sellers retained control during the session.

  • Price did not demonstrate a meaningful intraday recovery.

  • The narrow range suggests limited downward progress, but does not establish buying absorption.

  • Recent volume appears subdued, with no convincing evidence of stopping volume.

Several small candles around S$0.910 may represent temporary equilibrium. What matters next is whether buyers can force price above the nearby highs or sellers extend the decline below support.

5. Wyckoff and VSA assessment

Signal

Assessment

Sign of weakness (SOW)

Confirmed by September–October support breakdowns

No demand

Consistent with weak rebounds and limited upward progress

Selling climax

Not evident

Stopping volume

Not confirmed

Spring

Not present yet

Successful support test

Pending

Accumulation

Insufficient evidence

The January advance is consistent with demand overcoming supply, while the April–May reversal is consistent with supply gaining control. Neither institutional accumulation nor distribution can be established conclusively from the chart alone.

The current price behaviour is more consistent with a weak market pausing at support than with confirmed accumulation.

The next few daily candles are particularly important.

6. Forward scenarios and trading plan

Bullish — Support holds and reversal develops

Price rejects S$0.900–0.910, then closes above S$0.925 and subsequently S$0.940 on improving volume.

Target: S$0.960–0.970, followed by S$0.990.

Invalidation: sustained breakdown below S$0.900.

Bearish — Downtrend continues

Daily close below S$0.900, followed by failure to reclaim the level.

Target: S$0.885, then S$0.875.

Invalidation: recovery and acceptance above S$0.930–0.940.

Neutral — Base formation

Price stabilises between S$0.900 and S$0.930 with overlapping candles and reduced volatility.

A constructive development would be a successful low-volume retest of S$0.900 followed by a strong bullish candle.

Until then, consolidation alone does not imply accumulation.

Risk-reward illustration

Consider a hypothetical reversal entry at S$0.925 after confirmation, with a stop at S$0.895.

Parameter

Price

Entry

S$0.925

Stop loss

S$0.895

First target

S$0.970

Second target

S$0.990

Risk/reward to first target

1:1.5

Risk/reward to second target

1:2.17

The first target does not meet a preferred minimum 1:2 risk-reward. A better entry or tighter structurally justified stop would be needed. These are illustrative levels, not an active buy signal.

7. Final assessment

Current bias: Bearish, with a possible short-term stabilisation.

The S$0.900–0.910 zone is the immediate decision point.

Bullish evidence needed: rejection of lower prices, expanding bullish spreads, stronger closes and a successful retest.

Bearish confirmation: a decisive breakdown below S$0.900, followed by continued weakness or a failed recovery.

Preferred action: avoid anticipating the bottom. Wait for evidence that demand has genuinely overcome supply.
