F&N - 30 April 2026

F99 — Fraser & Neave Ltd. | SGX | Daily Chart Analysis

Timeframe: 1D
Last traded price shown: S$1.45

1. Current Market Regime Classification

Regime: Broad range / transition regime

F99 is not in a clean directional trend. The chart shows repeated rotations between S$1.38–S$1.51, with one major upside expansion into S$1.60 followed by a sharp rejection. Since the February peak, price has shifted from bullish expansion into a corrective/ranging structure.

The current price at S$1.45 sits near the middle of the recent recovery range, making this a decision zone, not an ideal aggressive entry zone.

2. Market Structure & Order Flow

Major swing structure

Key swing highs:

  • S$1.51 — late September / early October resistance
  • S$1.50–S$1.51 — repeated supply zone through October–January
  • S$1.60 — February climax high
  • S$1.50 — post-climax lower high
  • S$1.49 — April recovery high

Key swing lows:

  • S$1.39 — September base area
  • S$1.41 — October shakeout low
  • S$1.43 — November/December support
  • S$1.38 — March capitulation low
  • S$1.40 — late March retest low
  • S$1.44 — recent April minor support

Structure read

The February rally into S$1.60 was the major bullish displacement move, but the failure to hold above S$1.50–S$1.51 created a change of character. Price then broke down through the prior support shelf near S$1.46, confirming loss of bullish control.

The March low at S$1.38 appears to be a liquidity sweep below the prior range. The recovery back above S$1.44–S$1.46 shows demand responding, but the structure has not yet reclaimed bullish control because price remains below S$1.49–S$1.50.

3. Institutional Footprint & Retail Trap Analysis

February high: likely upthrust / exhaustion event

The surge into S$1.60 came after a steady advance from the S$1.48–S$1.51 range. The rejection that followed was sharp and high-volume relative to the surrounding candles. This suggests the move above prior resistance likely trapped late breakout buyers.

Interpretation:
The S$1.55–S$1.60 area acted as an institutional distribution / profit-taking zone.

March low: likely selling climax and liquidity grab

The sharp move down into S$1.38, followed by stabilization and recovery, looks like a downside liquidity grab beneath visible support. Retail stops likely sat below S$1.40–S$1.41, and price quickly re-entered the prior range.

Interpretation:
The S$1.38–S$1.40 area is now an important demand zone.

April range: absorption near S$1.44–S$1.46

Recent candles show overlapping bodies and reduced directional follow-through around S$1.44–S$1.46. This indicates a tug-of-war between residual supply from the February breakdown and buyers defending the March recovery.

Interpretation:
Price is compressing. A clean break above S$1.49–S$1.50 or below S$1.44 should provide the next directional clue.

4. Volume-Price Relationship

High-volume zones

The most important volume events occur around:

  • The January/February advance and rejection near S$1.55–S$1.60
  • The March selloff into S$1.38
  • The late March / early April retest around S$1.40–S$1.46

Effort vs result

Recent April price action shows moderate volume but limited upside progress after reaching S$1.49. That means buyers are present, but supply is still being absorbed near resistance.

A bullish continuation would require:

  • Expansion through S$1.49–S$1.50
  • Wider green candles
  • Higher closing price near the daily high
  • Volume expansion above recent average

A bearish failure would be confirmed by:

  • Rejection below S$1.49
  • Breakdown under S$1.44
  • Increased red volume
  • Close near the low of the candle

5. Key Supply and Demand Zones

Demand zones

S$1.38–S$1.40
Major March liquidity sweep zone. This is the strongest visible demand area on the chart.

S$1.43–S$1.44
Recent short-term support. A break below this level weakens the April recovery.

S$1.45–S$1.46
Current pivot area. Price has repeatedly reacted around this level across the chart.

Supply zones

S$1.49–S$1.51
Major resistance band. This area capped price multiple times and remains the first meaningful upside barrier.

S$1.55–S$1.60
Prior exhaustion / upthrust zone. This is the upper supply region and likely profit-taking area if price reclaims S$1.50.

6. Bar-by-Bar Reading of Recent Action

The April advance from S$1.40 to S$1.49 shows buyers regained control after the March washout. However, the rally was not strongly impulsive; it was choppy, with overlapping bars and several upper wicks near resistance.

The pullback from S$1.49 to S$1.45 is currently controlled rather than aggressive. That is constructive only if S$1.44 holds.

Current bar behavior near S$1.45 suggests indecision:

  • Buyers are defending above S$1.44
  • Sellers are active below S$1.49–S$1.50
  • Price is coiling around the prior range midpoint

7. Forward Scenarios

Bullish scenario

Bullish control improves only if price reclaims S$1.49–S$1.50 with volume confirmation.

Trigger zone: Above S$1.50
First target: S$1.55
Second target: S$1.60
Invalidation: Daily close below S$1.44

This would indicate that the March low was a successful spring and the April consolidation was accumulation.

Bearish scenario

Bearish pressure returns if price loses S$1.44, especially on expanding red volume.

Breakdown level: Below S$1.44
First downside level: S$1.40
Major downside demand: S$1.38
Deeper risk: S$1.36

A breakdown would suggest the April recovery failed and price is rotating back toward the March liquidity zone.

Neutral scenario

As long as price remains between S$1.44 and S$1.50, F99 remains range-bound.

This is a poor area for impulsive decision-making because the risk-reward is compressed in the middle of the range.

8. Risk Management Framework

For a bullish setup, the cleaner structure would be a breakout above S$1.50, followed by a retest that holds above S$1.46–S$1.49.

Example bullish planning zone:

  • Entry confirmation: Above S$1.50
  • Stop reference: Below S$1.44
  • Target 1: S$1.55
  • Target 2: S$1.60
  • Approximate R:R: Around 1:1 to 1:2 depending on entry

For a mean-reversion setup, price would need to revisit S$1.40–S$1.38 and show rejection wicks, volume absorption, or bullish reversal confirmation.

9. Highest Conviction Observations

  1. S$1.50–S$1.51 is the main resistance zone. Multiple failures occurred there before and after the February spike.
  2. The S$1.60 high looks like an exhaustion/upthrust event. The rejection afterward was sharp and structurally damaging.
  3. S$1.38–S$1.40 is the key demand zone. The March washout and recovery suggest possible liquidity capture.
  4. Current price at S$1.45 is neutral-to-cautious. It is neither at strong demand nor above confirmed resistance.
  5. A decisive close above S$1.50 changes the structure. Until then, price remains in a recovery range beneath supply.

Key Levels to Watch

Resistance: S$1.49, S$1.50, S$1.51, S$1.55, S$1.60
Support: S$1.45, S$1.44, S$1.40, S$1.38, S$1.36
Bullish confirmation: Daily close above S$1.50 with volume
Bearish confirmation: Daily close below S$1.44 with volume
Neutral zone: S$1.44–S$1.50

Confidence Rating

Confidence: 6.5 / 10

The chart has clear structural levels, but current price is in the middle of the range. Confidence would improve after either a breakout above S$1.50 or a pullback into S$1.40–S$1.38 with clear demand confirmation.

Brief Execution Checklist

Before execution, confirm:

  • Daily close location relative to S$1.44 and S$1.50
  • Volume expansion on the breakout or breakdown
  • Candle closes near highs for bullish continuation
  • Candle closes near lows for bearish continuation
  • Stop placement beyond structure, not inside the range
  • Minimum acceptable risk-reward of 1:2

Buying F99 because price is attempting to hold above the S$1.44–S$1.46 pivot after a March liquidity sweep, with stops at S$1.44 targeting S$1.50–S$1.55 for approximately 1:2 risk-reward.

F&N - 10 Nov 2025

Fraser & Neave Ltd. (SGX: F99) — 1D Chart (Mar–Nov 2025)
Last traded price: S$1.50

1. Market Structure & Regime Classification

  • Current regime: Trending-to-Ranging transition.
After a clean uptrend from the April low (S$1.06) to August high (S$1.54), price has entered a horizontal consolidation band (S$1.41–S$1.54).

  • Structure map:

    • Swing Lows (SL): 1.06 → 1.22 → 1.36 → 1.39 → 1.41 (progressively higher).

    • Swing Highs (SH): 1.35 → 1.27 → 1.54 → 1.51 → 1.54 (higher-high sequence intact).

    • No decisive Break of Structure (BOS) below S$1.36, implying trend bias remains mildly bullish.

  • Change of Character (CHoCH): None yet; a daily close below S$1.41 would confirm transition to range-bound or corrective phase.

2. Volume–Price Relationship (VPR)

  • Volume surge in July: Expansion confirmed institutional entry during breakout above S$1.27 (clear displacement candle with high volume).

  • August top (S$1.54): Wide-range bar on high volume — classical buying climax with subsequent reaction down to S$1.36 (automatic reaction).

  • Recent consolidation:

    • Volume contracting around S$1.41–S$1.50 → Volume Dry-Up, suggesting preparation for next breakout attempt.

    • No high-volume sell-off → supply remains limited.

3. Institutional Footprints

  • Order Block:

    • Bullish order block around S$1.36–S$1.41, representing the last down bar before the August rally.

    • Recent reactions confirm this area as institutional demand.

  • Liquidity Grabs:

    • Early October dip to S$1.41 swept resting liquidity before rebounding — classic spring-type test.

  • Fair Value Gap (FVG): Between S$1.44–S$1.46 remains partially unfilled; acting as a magnet for price retests.

4. Bar Pattern Recognition

  • Key reversals:

    • April: Hammer near S$1.06 with capitulation volume — end of markdown.

    • July: Wide-range bullish engulfing → start of markup.

    • August: Shooting star at S$1.54 → short-term distribution.

  • Continuation structure:

    • Multiple inside bars since October → volatility compression, energy build-up for breakout.

    • Measured move potential: If breakout above 1.54 confirms, projected target ≈ S$1.62–S$1.65.

5. Confluence & Psychological Levels

  • Round-number behavior: Reactions observed around S$1.50, a psychological barrier.
Consistent rejections but tightening ranges indicate absorption.

  • Sector alignment: F&N often tracks consumer staples sentiment; with regional defensives recovering, rotational flows could support continuation.

6. Risk–Reward Framework

ParameterLevel (SGD)Commentary
Entry1.51–1.52Breakout confirmation above range
Stop-loss1.40Below structure low / order block
Take-profit 11.62Measured move target
Take-profit 21.68–1.70Historical resistance zone
R:R Ratio≈ 1:2.5Satisfactory institutional-grade setup

7. Forward Bias & Key Levels

  • Bullish bias maintained while above S$1.41.

  • Watch for:

    1. Volume expansion on any breakout above S$1.54 — validates institutional continuation.

    2. Failure retest (rejection + volume spike) → signals short-term distribution phase.

    3. Contraction at highs without follow-through → potential absorption before another leg higher.

Summary:
Fraser & Neave (F99) shows a controlled accumulation pattern after its strong mid-year markup. The S$1.41–S$1.54 band represents a high-probability reaccumulation range, with early signs of institutional absorption.
Bias remains bullish toward S$1.62–S$1.70, contingent on a volume-backed breakout above S$1.54. A daily close below S$1.41 would invalidate this thesis and shift focus to S$1.36 support retest.

1. Market Regime Classification

  • Current Regime: Transitioning from ranging to uptrending

  • Evidence:

    • Consolidation between 1.25–1.27 (May–June) followed by bullish breakout

    • Recent wide-range bullish bars with increased volume suggest shift in control

2. Highest Conviction Observations

A. Change of Character (CHoCH) and Break of Structure (BOS)

  • CHoCH occurred after break above 1.27 high on increased volume (June)

  • BOS confirmed with break above 1.31 and 1.33 levels (previous structure resistance)

B. Institutional Volume Footprint

  • Climactic Volume on April drop to 1.06 (shakeout behavior)

  • Accumulation phase confirmed by:

    • Increasing volume clusters around 1.20–1.25

    • Low-range candles with high volume = absorption behavior

C. Displacement Move & Fair Value Gap (FVG)

  • Displacement initiated late June with strong bullish impulse

  • Small retracement leaves a minor FVG around 1.25–1.27, may act as future support

D. Volume-Price Relationship

  • Volume expansion on breakout above 1.27 with consecutive wide-bodied bullish candles (institutional momentum)

  • Price moved from 1.25 → 1.33 with little retracement = professional directional control

E. Supply Zone Test & Reaction

  • Current price at 1.33, retesting supply from Oct–Dec 2024 consolidation

  • Volume remains elevated = test of overhead supply, possible pause or minor pullback before continuation

3. Bar-by-Bar Analysis Snapshot (June to July 7, 2025)

  • Late June: Multiple inside bars at 1.25 → low volatility coil, indicating energy build-up

  • June 27–July 3: Strong bullish expansion bars with rising volume → breakout confirmation

  • July 4–5: Minor upper wicks into 1.33 resistance with elevated volume = potential testing phase

  • July 7: Small body candle at 1.33 → potential pause for liquidity gathering or flag formation

  • Stop Placement: Below 1.25 structure low

  • Target 1: 1.37 (previous swing high from Jan 2025)

  • Target 2: 1.39 (range top from Oct 2024)

  • Risk-Reward Estimate: Approx. 1:2.5

  • Immediate Support: 1.27–1.29 (prior BOS/FVG)

  • Current Resistance: 1.33 (present consolidation zone)

  • Breakout Target Levels: 1.37 → 1.39

  • Critical Structural Stop: 1.25

6. Forward Bias and Confluence Outlook

  • Bias: Bullish continuation favored unless price closes back below 1.27

  • Multi-Timeframe Confluence: Likely higher timeframe breakout of multi-month range (Oct–Jun)

  • Volume & Price Confirmation: Validated by sustained bullish volume on breakout

Trade Summary

Buying F&N (SGX: F99) because of a confirmed breakout from a multi-month accumulation base and institutional volume expansion, with stops at 1.25 targeting 1.39 for a 1:2.5 risk-reward ratio.
Confidence Rating: 8/10

✅ Pre-Trade Execution Checklist:

  • ☐ Is market regime confirmed (transition to trending)?

  • ☐ Is entry near prior breakout retest or pullback zone?

  • ☐ Is volume confirming directional intent?

  • ☐ Is stop beyond valid structural level (not arbitrary)?

  • ☐ Is reward-to-risk ratio favorable (>1:2)?

F&N (F99.SI) on SGX, Daily Timeframe (as of May 2, 2025)

1. Trend Analysis

  • Current Market Phase: Ranging to weak downtrend

  • Recent Highs/Lows:

    • Higher high: ~1.41 (early October)

    • Lower high: ~1.35 (mid-March)

    • Recent low: 1.06 (mid-April) – new swing low confirming weakening structure

  • Trend Observation:

    • A strong rally peaked near 1.41 but was followed by sideways movement and then lower highs.

    • Price broke below 1.25 support, hit 1.06, and bounced—indicating potential accumulation or short-term capitulation.

2. Key Price Action Signals

  • Strong Trend Bars:

    • Early October: Several bullish bars with rising volume push price from ~1.24 to 1.41—strong momentum.

    • Mid-April: A massive red bar with high volume dropped price to 1.06—a potential capitulation bar or liquidity trap.

  • Reversal Signals:

    • The large wick down to 1.06 followed by a bullish reversal suggests a pin bar or hammer—indicating buyer presence.

    • Bullish engulfing bar seen after the 1.06 low, suggesting a reversal attempt.

  • Volume Spikes:

    • April’s sharp drop to 1.06 came with very high volume and a bullish recovery bar, closing higher—suggests demand absorbing supply.

    • Recent bounce from 1.11 to 1.22 also has higher-than-average volume—bullish interest, but less conviction.

  • Gap Bars:

    • Minor gap downs seen before the 1.06 drop—led to continuation of the down move.

  • Doji Bars:

    • Dojis observed in February and March near 1.35—signals indecision at resistance, preceding the downturn.

3. Support & Resistance

  • Major Resistance Zones:

    • 1.41 (October high)

    • 1.35–1.38 (confluence zone, rejected multiple times)

    • 1.30 (prior swing high, now resistance)

  • Support Levels:

    • 1.11 (August low)

    • 1.06 (April low; psychological and price support)

    • 1.24–1.25 (recent breakdown point; now acting as resistance)

4. Breakout & Pullback Analysis

  • Breakouts:

    • October rally was a confirmed breakout with volume—sustained till November.

    • April’s breakdown below 1.25 was a strong bearish breakout, followed by a high-volume reversal.

  • Pullbacks:

    • Current move from 1.06 to 1.22 resembles a pullback to broken support (1.24–1.25). Key area to watch for bearish rejection or reclaim.

5. Market Context & Trading Bias

  • Market Condition: Transitional — from range to potential downtrend

  • Psychology:

    • April’s sharp drop suggests panic/fear.

    • Current bounce indicates hope or bargain buying, but strength yet to be confirmed by a breakout above 1.25.

6. Supply, Demand & Liquidity

  • Demand Zones: 1.06–1.11 (buyers defended strongly here)

  • Supply Zones: 1.30–1.35 (multiple rejections, potential liquidity trap)

  • Potential Setups:

    • Pullback Short near 1.25 if price rejects and forms bearish engulfing or pin bar.

    • Breakout Buy only if price closes strongly above 1.30 with volume.

7. Risk Management Strategy (Educational Example Only)

  • Potential Entry: Near 1.25 if rejected with confirmation (e.g., bearish pin bar)

  • Stop Loss: Just above 1.30 (resistance buffer)

  • Target: Retest of 1.11 or 1.06 support

  • Reward/Risk Ratio: ~2:1 if targeting 1.11 with 1.30 stop

📍Summary View:
The stock F99.SI (F&N) is currently transitioning from a ranging market to a possible downtrend. The sharp sell-off to 1.06 followed by a bounce highlights a key inflection point. Price is now testing the 1.22–1.25 zone, which may serve as a battleground between supply and demand. Volume patterns suggest caution.
