Wilmar - Extra Ordinary Result But Price Not Moving
Wilmar International FY2020 net profit surges 18.6% to US$1.53b
Its revenue for FY2020 increased 18.5% to US$50.53b.
Agribusiness group Wilmar International recorded an 18.6% increase in its FY2020 net profit to US$1.53b, on the back of a robust performance across all core segments, the company announced.
The group’s revenue also increased 18.5% to US$50.53b in FY2020 due to strong volume growth, firmer commodity prices, and consolidation of food manufacturer Goodman Fielder’s results.
Wilmar International is also set to hand out its highest total cash dividend since listing at 19.5 Singapore cents per share for FY2020 amidst the group’s recorded net profit for the full year.

Hang Seng Index - Stamp Duty Increase Sell Down
Hong Kong unveiled its first stamp-duty increase on stock trades since 1993, sparking a broad selloff in the US$7.6 trillion (S$10 trillion) market and sending shares of the city’s exchange to their biggest plunge in more than five years.
The planned trading-tax increase to 0.13 per cent from 0.10 per cent was part of a raft of new measures announced in Hong Kong’s budget that included increased spending to help residents weather the pandemic. Even as the city’s economy has plunged over the past year, stock prices and turnover have surged amid a global market boom.
Technically, HSI had risen too much and the stamp duty increase give the smart monies a nice reason to sell down their HK shares. Personally, I view this as temporary sell off as it is like our GST hike, overtime, traders will start trading again as they forgot about the increases.

Sheng Siong - Good Result But Neither Up nor Down
Riding on elevated demand driven by the pandemic, revenue rose 28.8 per cent to S$319.3 million from S$247.9 million in Q4 2019. The increase was attributed to better performance at existing stores (18.2 percentage points) and new stores opened in 2020 (10.6 percentage points).
Sheng Siong announce good result but price neither rise or falls as it is not expected to perform that well again as per during the locked down.
Many stocks that rise during the COVID-19 locked down are under selling pressures as many are overvalued.

Yeo Hiap Seng - 19 Feb 2021
BEVERAGE player Yeo Hiap Seng (YHS) recorded a S$3.3 million loss for H2 ended December, as sales took a hit from the impact of Covid-19. This reversed the S$3.1 million net profit from a year ago.
Nevertheless, the firm has recommended a final dividend of S$0.02 per share for FY2020, with the option to receive the dividend in scrip.
---
Technically, YHS start its long downtrend movement from 2013 till 2021.
Close at 0.77 which is back to the past price in 1995.
