The daily chart shows a sustained sequence of lower highs and lower lows since the January 2026 peak of S$0.600.

Late Oct–3 Nov

0.485 → 0.505

Early recovery from support

The late-July attempt at 0.560 is particularly significant. Price briefly revisited the previous trading-range ceiling but subsequently fell sharply below 0.540.

This represented a failed bullish breakout attempt, followed by a bearish change of character and continuation of the broader downtrend.

The subsequent failure to defend 0.530 and 0.520 strengthened the bearish structure.

However, the recent reaction from 0.485 suggests that downward momentum may be losing some force.

2. Recent bar-by-bar price action

A. October decline toward 0.485

Price gradually stepped lower from 0.510 toward 0.495, with repeated narrow-range and overlapping bars.

Interpretation: Selling remained dominant, but the decline was not uniformly impulsive. The increasingly compressed price action warrants monitoring for exhaustion rather than assuming sellers will continue to make easy progress.

B. Test of 0.485

In late October, price penetrated the 0.495–0.500 area and reached 0.485 before recovering.

Interpretation: This is a potential selling-exhaustion or spring-like action. However, the chart does not yet establish a completed Wyckoff spring, because the reference trading range is not sufficiently developed and a successful low-volume retest has not been demonstrated.

C. Recovery toward 0.505–0.510

The rebound subsequently encountered supply near 0.510, producing a pullback toward 0.495.

Interpretation: Sellers remain active at former support. Buyers have not yet demonstrated the ability to sustain higher prices.

Closing position within daily range

The candle closed in the upper third of its range, showing some buying strength. Nevertheless, the upper wick from 0.510 to 0.505 indicates resistance and selling pressure above the closing price.

Assessment: Constructive, but not a decisive reversal candle. A close above 0.510 with follow-through would meaningfully improve the short-term outlook.

3. Volume spread analysis

Three observations stand out.

First — the August breakdown showed substantial selling effort. The strong downward price movement following the 0.560 peak coincided with elevated volume. This supports the interpretation of supply overcoming demand.

Second — the October lows show potential selling exhaustion, but not confirmed accumulation. Price has stopped making easy downward progress around 0.485–0.495. Some volume expansion is visible near the lows, but the available chart does not establish whether this reflects genuine absorption or continuing distribution.

Third — the latest recovery lacks decisive volume confirmation. The rightmost volume bars do not clearly demonstrate sustained expansion accompanying upward progress. This lowers confidence in an immediate trend reversal.

The most valuable development would be a successful retest of 0.485–0.495 on contracting volume, followed by a wider bullish candle with improving volume.

Major support

October swing low and potential reversal base

Most important near-term range: S$0.485–0.510. Until price breaks and holds beyond either boundary, the recent movement is better classified as a tentative bottoming range within a larger downtrend.

5. Bullish, bearish and neutral scenarios

Bullish — Reversal confirmation

A decisive close above 0.510, followed by a successful retest holding 0.500–0.510.

Upside targets: 0.520, then 0.530–0.535.

A sustained recovery above 0.535 would provide stronger evidence of a genuine change in market structure.

Bearish — Downtrend continuation

Price repeatedly fails near 0.510, loses 0.495, and subsequently closes below 0.485 with expanding volume.

This would invalidate the current bottoming attempt. The next downside reference is the 0.480 region, followed by price discovery below the visible chart's support.

Neutral — Base formation

Price fluctuates between 0.485 and 0.510 with contracting volatility and declining volume.

This would suggest supply-demand equilibrium is developing, but the direction of the eventual breakout remains unconfirmed.

The confirmation entry reduces the risk of buying before a breakout, but its reward-to-risk ratio is unattractive at the nearby resistance levels. The support entry offers better theoretical reward-to-risk, although it involves buying against the prevailing downtrend and requires a convincing bullish test around 0.495.

Both setups are conditional, not active signals.

7. Final technical verdict

Bearish structure, with an emerging but unconfirmed bottom

The 0.485 low and subsequent recovery indicate an initial improvement in buying response. However, the bullish case remains incomplete while price is below 0.510.

My preferred approach: Wait for further evidence rather than anticipate a reversal. A sustained move above 0.510 improves the short-term outlook; reclaiming 0.530–0.535 would provide stronger structural confirmation.

Conversely, a renewed breakdown below 0.485 would restore the bearish continuation outlook.

Confidence: Moderate in the prevailing bearish trend; low to moderate in the developing reversal.

Nam Lee Metal - 02 Nov 26

Bearish primary trend

Daily chart | 2 November 2026 | SGD

Last price

S$0.550

Recent low

S$0.510

Recovery from low

+7.84%

Overall assessment: Nam Lee remains in a well-established downtrend, but recent price action near S$0.510 suggests that selling pressure may be weakening. The rebound toward S$0.550 is encouraging, although insufficient to establish a confirmed bullish reversal.

The most important question is whether buyers can sustain the recovery above S$0.550 and eventually reclaim S$0.580, or whether the recent rebound becomes another lower high.

1. Market structure

Period

Observed price action

Interpretation

Jan–Feb

Strong advance to S$0.790, followed by rejection

Major buying climax candidate; subsequent reversal establishes supply

Mar–Apr

Lower highs and decline to S$0.605

Bearish market structure developing

May

Recovery to S$0.750, followed by sharp rejection

Rally fails to restore the previous uptrend

Jun–Jul

Lower highs at S$0.695, S$0.690 and S$0.680

Progressive weakening of demand

Aug

Breakdown below S$0.650 and S$0.605

Bearish continuation and loss of former support

Sep–Oct

Narrow consolidation around S$0.560–0.590, followed by breakdown

Temporary equilibrium resolves downward

Late Oct–Nov

Decline to S$0.510, followed by rebound to S$0.550

Potential selling exhaustion, not yet a confirmed trend reversal

The sequence of lower highs and lower lows remains intact. The recent decline below S$0.545 to S$0.510 established another lower low, so a change in market character still requires evidence of sustained buying.

2. Key support and resistance

Level

Significance

S$0.580–0.590

Major recovery resistance; prior consolidation and repeated failed rallies

S$0.560–0.570

Immediate overhead supply from the October trading range

S$0.545–0.550

First reclaim zone; previous August low and current rebound

S$0.525–0.530

Short-term support; potential retest zone

S$0.510

Most recent swing low; key bullish invalidation level

Below S$0.510

Fresh breakdown territory, with no confirmed chart support visible below

The S$0.545–0.550 zone is especially important because previous support can become resistance after a breakdown. A recovery through this area must hold, rather than merely touch it.

3. Recent bar-by-bar price action

The most significant development is the late-October reversal attempt.

Wyckoff / VSA interpretation

Potential stopping action near S$0.510: The repeated tests of S$0.510, followed by reduced trading activity and an upward reversal, suggest that immediate selling pressure may have diminished. However, there is no convincing high-volume selling climax.

Effort versus result: On 30 October, price advanced S$0.025 on just 17,000 shares. The wide upward range relative to volume suggests relatively little opposing supply, but it does not independently establish substantial professional buying.

Demand confirmation is missing: The 30 October volume was considerably below the three-month average of approximately 35,300 shares.

This is an important weakness in the bullish interpretation.

The rebound is therefore consistent with a preliminary sign of strength, rather than confirmed accumulation. A successful secondary test near S$0.520–0.530, followed by sustained upward progress, would improve the evidence.

4. Forward scenarios

Bullish — reversal development

Price holds above S$0.530, breaks S$0.550 and subsequently clears S$0.570 on expanding volume.

Targets: S$0.580–0.590, followed by S$0.605.

Invalidation: Failure to hold the retest zone, especially a break below S$0.510.

Bearish — downtrend continuation

Price fails around S$0.550–0.570, produces weak upward closes or renewed selling, and breaks below S$0.525.

Targets: S$0.510, with downside extension possible if this low fails.

Invalidation: Sustained recovery above S$0.570–0.580.

Neutral — base formation

Price consolidates between approximately S$0.520 and S$0.560, with reduced downside volume and progressively firmer lows.

This would suggest a possible accumulation base, although the direction of the eventual breakout remains uncertain.

5. Risk-reward assessment

Illustrative long setup, conditional on a successful retest and bullish confirmation:

Parameter

Price

Entry

S$0.535

S$0.505

First target

S$0.590

Second target

S$0.605

Reward/risk to target 1

1.83:1

Reward/risk to target 2

2.33:1

This setup only becomes relevant if S$0.530–0.535 is successfully defended. The first target offers less than a preferred 2:1 reward/risk, making the trade less attractive without improved entry conditions. Thin trading volumes also create execution and slippage risks.

6. Final technical verdict

CURRENT BIAS

Bearish trend, early recovery attempt

The move from S$0.510 to S$0.550 is a constructive first response to recent selling, but a sustainable reversal has not been established.

Key confirmation: Sustained trade above S$0.570–0.580 with improving participation.

Key warning: Rejection at S$0.550 followed by a break below S$0.525.

Critical invalidation: S$0.510.

Trading conclusion: Avoid treating the initial rebound as a confirmed bottom. The preferred approach is to monitor the next several bars for follow-through, a successful low-volume retest, and evidence of buyers absorbing supply around S$0.550–0.570.
